I visited ALIMA this morning and after receiving my friend's recommendation. I had a lactation massage that made me realize I had so much breast milk. They were just clogged up in there, with no way of coming out. It was one of the most painful experiences I've had! Although I wasn't successful at getting my baby to latch correctly during my session, I'm grateful for the encouragement I received from ALIMA. I didn't get the staff member's first name, but she was encouraging and non-judgmental over how low my pain tolerance was. I left the center deciding to pump my milk out rather than direct latching due to the pain.
